BIOGRAPHY
A keen photographer from Glasgow, Scotland studying at City of Glasgow College.
Starting out around 5-6 years ago, my main focus became nature photography.
Now, I try and shoot everything and anything, learning different styles and exploring the many different avenues available to a photographer.
Artist Statement
Even though I have been using a camera for many years my skill always felt limited. Like there was a ceiling to my abilities and that ceiling wasn't going anywhere. Over the last year whilst studying the different methods and practices that make for a great photographer I've felt that ceiling begin to rise. It has gave me a new found confidence to explore out of my comfort zone and shoot new themes and experiences. Whether its planning out details meticulously in a studio or at home for a very specific shoot or heading out to town to see what moments strike me the most, I feel that I have only improved. Especially in the instance of the street. The reason that I so heavily focused on nature in my early days is that animals can't tell me off. Sure, they can run away but the stakes are low. With people, you never know how they're going to act, And that scared me. But pushing through these barriers and taking on these challenges has put cracks in that ceiling and I can start to see through. Pretty soon its going to crumble away.
